  • I’m located in the beautiful village of Newcastle, on the midcoast of Maine—just over the river from Damariscotta. My physical address is 80 River Road, Newcastle, ME 04553.

  • Yes, I do! In fact, I believe EFT Couples Intensives are most impactful when done in person. My office in Newcastle offers a comfortable, private space where you can focus on the deeper work of therapy, with a calming environment to rest and recharge in between sessions.

  • EFT Couples Intensives take place in person, as this offers the environment most conducive to the deeper work we’ll do together. However, you have the option of doing the 75-minute initial assessment via a HIPPA compliant video platform. You will each receive an email with instructions on accessing this platform.

  • You may submit payment in the form of a personal check, via Venmo [@Rebecca-Clark-334 (last four digits of cell for ID purposes is 9504)], or you can request a credit card payment link.

Please note that EFT Couples Intensives are not covered by insurance, but many couples have successfully used their HSA/FSA funds for payment.

  • After you have made your payment for the EFT Couple’s Therapy Intensive, I will email you a number of forms to prepare. These include a therapeutic agreement form, financial policies, and an initial intake form about you and your relationship. I can also provide a list of restaurants and lodging in the area if you are interested in recommendations during your stay.

  • A Good Faith Estimate is something I’ll provide to give you a clear understanding of what your therapy costs might be when you're paying out of pocket. It will outline my session rates and any other potential charges, so you won’t be caught off guard by unexpected expenses. Keep in mind, though, I can’t predict exactly how many sessions you’ll need—that will depend on your personal progress and goals. My goal is always to be transparent, so you know what to expect financially.

  • Reach out to me via the inquiry form on this website, via phone (207) 563-3366 ext. 106, or email hello@RebeccaClarkLMFT.com to schedule an initial complimentary consultation. Both partners are asked to join this consultation, which will take place on Zoom.

  • I do not offer after-hours calls or appointments. For non-emergency scheduling concerns, you can reach me via phone (207) 563-3366 ext. 106 or email hello@RebeccaClarkLMFT.com.

If you are having a crisis, please reach out to your local crisis center or hospital emergency center. For the national hotline, dial 9-8-8; for Maine, 1-888-568-1112. Please message me or your weekly therapist to let us know you have sought those emergency services. Remember, if you can, lean on each other for support.

  • Cancellation Policy for EFT Couples Intensives:

The initial deposit of 50% for an EFT Couples Intensive is non-refundable.

If cancelling within 21 days of the scheduled EFT Intensive, non-refundable payments can be applied to a new date within a 12-month period only. Emergency cancellations/exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis for cancellations less than 21 days out.

The balance of payment is due within 24 hours following the 75-minute initial assessment meeting and before the EFT Intensive.

Cancellation Policy for Initial 75-Minute Assessment:

I kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your initial assessment. Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-shows will incur a late cancellation/no-show fee of $200.

Exceptions: I understand that emergencies can happen. If you experience a medical or family emergency, please reach out as soon as possible. Each situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. Our conversations will remain private, fostering an environment of safety and trust. By ethical and legal standards, your personal health information (PHI) will not be shared without your written consent. This applies whether we’re working with an individual, couple, or family, and requires a separate release form from each adult if information is shared.

The only exceptions to confidentiality are:

    1. Threat of serious harm to yourself or others (e.g., physical violence, suicide).

    2. Suspected abuse or neglect of a child or dependent adult.

    3. A court order.

    4. A signed voluntary release from you AND your spouse.

    5. During clinical consultation with other advanced professionals to ensure the best care for you.

  • Engaging in a Couples Therapy Intensive is a positive step toward building a deeper, more emotionally connected relationship. My role is to guide you through a process that helps clarify meaningful relationship goals, uncover patterns that block emotional connection, and foster the growth of a more secure and fulfilling bond.

While many couples experience improved connection and a significant reduction in distress, the outcomes and extent of progress depend on various factors, including the willingness and engagement of both partners, trauma history, and the duration of the issues being addressed.

As with any therapeutic process, difficult emotions—such as anger, sadness, or anxiety—may arise, and in some cases, distress may increase. The intensive is not designed to eliminate all future conflicts or prevent setbacks, but to equip you with an experiential framework to navigate challenges more effectively and move forward with a closer emotional connection.

No warranty or guarantee is made, either explicit or implied, regarding the results of therapy.

  • You are a brave couple for choosing to invest in your relationship. I deeply value the trust you share with me and your commitment to caring for your most meaningful relationship. This work isn’t always easy, but by taking this step, you’re showing how much you truly care for each other and your future together. I’m honored to be part of this process and support you along the way. Click here if you’re ready to get started.
